Hi Tim, are you in Chicago doing the Oprah show??
About this. I love it! Can we have a place for our club name on our profile? Also, can we do searches by club, city perhaps even weapon? I'm starting to use this like a "fencing Facebook" Let me know.
Heyy its me Joseph from elitefencers.ning.com/. lets talk sometime about the website. i'll be happy to help or do something about mine. lol Good luck and happy fencing! =D
As a fencer and as an American I wish you and the rest of the Olympic Team the best of luck in Beijing.
As a proponent of human rights, I also encourage you and other American Olympians during the opening ceremonies, on the medal stand, or on both occasions to send a message to the world by wearing "Save Darfur" apparel along with Team USA regalia. Today, China is a major trading partner with Sudan, the government of which has been linked to the genocide in Darfur. This statement could not only spread awareness on the global level, but also encourage the government of the host country to divest funds currently having the potential to fuel the genocidal acts of government-sponsored Janjaweed militias.
By making this statement for human rights, the 2008 Olympic Team can join the 1968 track and field duo of Tommie Smith and John Carlos as true champions of equality and of athleticism.
Also, I commend you on your efforts with Teach for America. It is truly amazing to see the dedication volunteer teachers have to closing America's achievement gap.
In addition, thank you for your efforts in creating Ten Thousand Fencers and spreading the wonder of fencing en masse.
Thank you for your time and best of luck in the 2008 Olympics.
Thanks for pointing out the "recuited". Will get this fixed next week and appreciate that you are enjoying the websites growth Laura! MORE TO COME! :-) We're just getting started...get your friends to join!
