The Pan American Fencing Academy
Founded in 2001, the mission of the Pan American Fencing Academy is to educate the next generation of American professional fencing coaches.
HOW WE CARRY OUT OUR MISSION: To carry out this mission we develop and present high quality online coaching education to meet the knowledge needs of fencers at every level of professional certification.
VALUES: We believe that professional fencing coaches should be true professionals, highly competent in not only teaching the use of the sword, but also in the related areas of sports science and sports management needed to produce superior athletes and well run fencing businesses.
RELATIONSHIP TO COACHING CERTIFICATION: We support the professional certification programs of the United States Fencing Coaches Association and the Academie d'Armes Internationale. Our courses are designed to (1) prepare candidates for the written examinations administered by the Certification and Accreditation Board of the United States Fencing Coaches Association and (2) to provide an in-depth education in areas not addressed by the certification process but that are vital to successfully developing athletes in a fencing business.
